This is what happens when you Google Chihuahua/Pug Mix (re: this)
Today has been hard and I think I deserve a new puppy. Lacey?
Anonymous asked: Have you two lovely ladies decided *where* you'll get married?
Not yet. We can either get married in a state where it’s legal (New Hampshire, Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, Vermont and hopefully soon, DC) or we can have it anywhere else and then get the actual marriage license later. It is important to me that we get married legally. My wife is just as good as Joe Straighty Shmoe’s wife.
I do love Vermont…..
It’s also really important to us that we wait to make plans until we know when Quincy will be back. So until we’re all moved in to the new place, I’m just going to keep looking at pretty pretty wedding blogs and saving pictures of things I think are neat.
Got together my tax info, including my student loan (hence, my trip to the library as I needed to print) interest info, and mailed it to my accountant, who is doing my taxes for free (yay).
Then went to the library and got two Harry Potter movies, Dave, Role Models (Know what I had for breakfast? Cocaine.), Serendipity and Just Married (RIP Brittany Murphy).
We’re stocked up on food and drink, including a lot of goodies for Sunday when we won’t watch the Super Bowl.
All in all I think I’ve set us up for a fantastically lazy and awesome weekend.
YAY!!! Perfect movie selections, baby! football, shmutball.
Anonymous asked: I have a horribly ignorant question to ask. Please forgive me if this comes off as offensive, because I seriously don't mean it to be. I've LOVED getting to know you and Lacey through your blogs. You're the most in love couple I've ever seen. But with being in a same sex relationship, how did the two of you decide who would do the proposing? Was it ever discussed? Not that hetero couples need to stick with traditional gender roles, but it's typically clear who's going to be doing the asking and who's going to get the fun sparkler to wear. By the way, she did an AMAZING job on the ring! Just a question I've always wondered...
Not an ignorant question at all. Like you said, there’s no hard and fast rule when it comes to something like this.
Lacey and I had discussed it and she told me very early on that should we get to this point, that she’d like to be the one to propose. She said she didn’t want or need an engagement ring, that the wedding band would be sufficient. Had she wanted a ring I would have gladly gotten her one.
She did do an amazing job. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect ring!
apatosaurus asked: What do you miss about the DC area?
Hm. There are a lot of things I miss. My friends and family of course followed closely by the free museums and Ben’s Chili Bowl. I miss hanging out in Dupont in the summer or walking around the monuments at night. I don’t miss how impossible it was to get a cab and the metro stopping at midnight on the weekdays.
